CCA Fair

So here I am, the new captain of NTU Triathlon. Though I feel quite tired. Dun think I am doing much of the stuff anyway, poor Eunice have to handle everything. Sorry Eunice for not sharing your burden. But I guess I am just tired. Anyway, we need to set up a booth for CCA fair this coming Monday. But we were facing a few problems.

Problem 1: We were not assigned a booth at the CCA Fair.

So this being a major problem, we approached our teacher in charge, who basically told us she cannot do anything about it. Great help. Next we approached Student Union, who were in charge of the booths. So I called this CK guy up, to ask him for a booth. Then comes the next problem. He told me that NTU Triathlon is not an official club!

Problem 2: We are not an official club.

Now this puzzled me. If we are not an official club, how did we get IVP status? And if we are not an official club, what are we? The answer that came from my teacher in charge (Louise) shocked me even more. According to her, we are not an official club of NTU, but an official team. Wtf... Seriously, I dun really see the difference, but since NTU thinks we are not an official CLUB, we got no booth. So much for recognising our efforts. In the end, through the wonderful connections of Eunice, we managed to share booth with running club.

So now that all was settled, we were good to go right? Wrong. The wonderful NTU administration required that we get SAO's stamp of approval before we can put up posters. So I headed over to SAO to get the posters approved. How hard can it be? Go there, get my posters chopped, and get out. Well, I was wrong. I went there, and the first thing the person told me was that I need not get a stamp if I was putting up posters around my booth. Then he said I needed the stamp if I was putting up on notice boards. Finally, when I asked if can put on walls, he said I needed the approval of Office of Planning and Maintenance. Sounds like a part directly from "Just Follow Law". Exasperated, I left SAO knowing that they cannot help me. I have officially given up on the NTU administration...
