Just realised I didn't blog about this season's IH Waterpolo at all. Felt a bit apprehensive when I first came back as the team was full of new faces. Seniors had either graduated, or were too intimidated to join back the team. It was a new team altogether, and these were guys who have trained for at least 1 sem together. On hindsight now, I definitely enjoyed my time training with these young boys. The trainings were on a different level from previous years. One main reason could be the change in the intake we got this year. Past years, if the new players could swim well, it was already a big bonus. This year, we had swimmers, polo players, and even a Cleo #1 bachelor!
We breezed through the games all the way to the championships.
We stuck together in times of appeal, when Hall 6 appealed, followed by Hall 1 (Wtf?).
We braved the trashings dealt to us by 13 yr old kids, who turned around and asked us how old we were.
We are the champions. And I am proud of every one of you boys, even the 27 yr old gi na.
"XX and XX under a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"
Seriously man, a gi na.
