Thoughts from a country

Here are just some random thoughts I thought of about this country I am in. Dun mention the country, if not later kena flamed.

First off, the good things.

FOOD! Food here is really quite good. N it isn't really expensive as well. Definitely one of the highlights of this place. Cos there are so much varieties as well!

NIGHTLIFE! The nightlife where I am is, in my opinion, one of the best among all the countries I have been to. Too bad my housemates aren't really night animals, so I've only gone clubbing a few times with them. Need to find some way to convert them into night animals... Haha.

SIGHTS! One of the better things here would be the nice scenery. Definitely one of a kind. But these nice sceneries are best viewed from far. Cos once you get near, you will see that the beautiful lake you saw, is actually quite polluted. Or the magnificent pagoda seen from afar, is actually not that ancient looking.

Now, the bad things.

PEOPLE - The people here aren't really the nicest guys/gals around. They can be quite loud, easily provoked, spit everywhere and pee everywhere. So you can expect the shock on our faces when we saw a mum making her young daughter pee on the MRT! It was just so matter of fact-ly, as if it was perfectly normal. Me and my housemates practically glared at them. Haha.

TRAFFIC - Traffic here is really bad. Even if it is a green man on a pedastrian crossing, you really still gotta watch your back as you cross the road. The cars/motorbikes/bicycles/man-pulled-thingys will just charge forward, honking their horn. It's really quite chaotic, and needs some time to get used to. But now we are all well trained, so we just cross the roads regardless of the traffic lights.

MRT - Ok, it isn't really called the MRT, but to relate better, i shall call it MRT. It gets really squeezy especially at peak hours. Think those of you that haven't been to this place before won't know how squeezy it can get. Think Singapore peak hour MRT, multiplied by 2 or even 3! And to get on/off the trains, the people really just shove their way through. It got quite bad this morning. I was practically pushed against the inside of the train and I could feel the air being squeezed out of my lungs. Terrifying yet fun experience.

Well, that's it for now. But I'm sure i will continue to have random thoughts, so there's more things to blog abt!
