Recently there has been quite a few incidents which I shall not elaborate. But think most of my readers should know. Been quite bothered by it, running both ways to try to make things better. End of the day, I think that everyone should ask themselves:
Was it worth it?
Were the sacrifices made justifiable?
Like I told someone that day, when you do big things, you will definitely offend people. Just as long as you think what you did is right, go ahead. Just as long as you know your conscience is clear, and that you know why you did what you did, then do it.
From a bigger perspective, each side had their own points of view which I agreed with. Both sides were logical, unbiased, and had a reason for doing what they did. Now the question to ask ourselves is, what do we do from here on? Do we tear each others' throats out, try to sabotage the project so that it fails and you get your revenge, or do we look at the bigger picture? The true purpose of the event. What's the point of having an event when the whole organisation is torn into two? It isn't helping the event at all. Instead it is destroying it.
Are you ready for that?
Are you willing to forgo all the relations forged over the years, just over this event?
